Company History
Fuller Life Water was founded in 1987 and made it's first official delivery to Nutri Foods of Royal Oak May 21st. George and Francine Smiley. and Lynn Schechter (Francines sister) started Fuller Life Water, truly to provide the best water produced on the planet to the local Detroit market.
The name Fuller Life Water comes from R. Buckminster Fuller, sometimes called " the planet's friendly genius". George Smiley has been studying R. Buckminster Fuller for years.George continues to this day to study, and now finally implement a plan to build geodesic housing structures which will enable people to have adequate housing which are both affordable and easy to construct.
George was Fuller Life Water in the beginning. He did everything from mopping floors, bottle washing and filling, deliveries, purchasing, etc. He was a one man show until his son Jeremy joined him and really saved the day. Jeremy joined the business in 1996 and began to take over some of the physical brunt of the daily business to include delivering.
You may, or may not know, that the bottled water business is very challenging. You are moving something very heavy for pennies, while continuously striving for dollars. Not long after Jeremy joined the business, Francine took over the finances, and bottling of the 1 gallon bottles.
In 1999, George and Francines daughter, Tara, joined the business. She implemented a computerized routing system & financial system with Francine. As family members join the business, and bring in fresh ideas and regular old fashioned hard work, the company continues to grow.
Fuller Life was located in Pontiac, Mi. for many years until quite recently. We have now relocated to Royal Oak where our family has lived for many years.
We continue to strive for high quality output of our core product plus additional complimentary products. We continue to strive for the ultimate customer service, and we have many exciting changes that will take place over the next few years. Please stay tuned for updates, and as always, thank you.
